Day 1.  Central Coast  - Tumbarumba              (D)

A leisurely drive today as we travel the M7 and Hume Freeway through historic Goulburn and Gundagai to the picturesque town of Tumbarumba  for  overnight. Tumbarumba  Motor Inn


Day 2.  Tumbarumba - Mountain Creek           (BLD)

A very beautiful drive today with the highlight being the Boggy Creek Show. The two hour live performance includes: amazing Snowy Mountains horsemanship with stock and packhorse, mustering, whip cracking,  working Kelpie dogs, unique Aussie humour (laughs and legends), stories about Australian history and mountain heritage, farm animals, sheep shearing, learn about a working Angus cattle stud and enjoy spectacular views of Mt  Kosciuszo. We continue our journey  passing through Corryong and joining the Murray Valley Highway. You will   travel to Tallangatta before passing through the beautiful Kiewa Valley to Tawonga for our three (3) night stay.  Mountain Creek Motel


Day 3.  Beechworth & Mount Buffalo                 (BLD)

The picturesque town of  Beechworth is one of the best preserved gold rush towns in Victoria. This morning we explore this town and a chance for you to visit the famous Beechworth Bakery. Next stop will be the Phoenix Tree sculptured by Hans Knorr.  View the old tobacco kilns on our way to Mt Buffalo.  Return to Tawonga this afternoon to explore this beautiful area.


Day 4.  Autumn Spectacular                               (BD)

Travel into the upper reaches of the Kiewa Valley and visit Mount Beauty, originally an accommodation town for workers on the Kiewa Hydro-Electric Scheme, now a holiday town situated beautifully at the foot of Mount Bogong. Returning to Bright in time for the gala day parade and activities. The Bright Festival of the Falling Leaves gala day includes street stalls and a street parade.


Day 5. Tawonga - Canberra                               (BLD)

Farewell to the High Country as we travel the Kiewa Valley Highway to   the township of Albury.  Here we will visit the Hume Weir for our picnic lunch. This afternoon we travel to Canberra for our two (2) night stay.     Hyatt Canberra


Day 6.  Canberra Sights & Sounds               (BD)

Canberra in Autumn is a sight to be seen, the trees are alive with falling leaves of colour. Today we will explore the city with time at the War Memorial.  Take in the view over the city from Mt Ainslie and enjoy a cruise on Lake  Burley Griffin to see the colour from a different angle.


Day 7.  Canberra—Central Coast             (BL)

Departing Canberra this morning we make our way past Lake George and   re-join the Hume Freeway for our   travel homeward. Our luncheon stop today will be at the Mount Annan  Botanical Gardens before continuing our journey home.
